Justin Magnuson, president of the Justice Reform Foundation wants to highlight a great example of successful bail reform in his home state of Texas. The removal of the cash bail system work in Harris County has decreased the number of misdemeanor convictions in the county without any additional threat to public safety. It is reforms such as this that the JRF wants to highlight and expand upon as the conversation surrounding bail reform moves past county and state lines.
