Moments That Moved Us Forward
Every event is a chance to advance reform — raising funds, training the next generation of defenders, or simply showing up for people inside the system.
Princeton Symposium on Ethical Communications in Criminal Cases
Hosted by Princeton University and the Association of Prosecuting Attorneys with support from Just Trust. JRF Founder Justin Magnuson delivered opening remarks to 120 distinguished guests — including district attorneys, judges, national media, and former U.S. Attorney General Alberto Gonzales.

Saddle Up for a Cause: Dining for Dignity
An unforgettable evening of western charm and impactful giving. Community leaders, changemakers, and advocates joined us at Bowie House Auberge for an elevated three-course dinner, raising critical funds to support the Criminal Defense Clinic, Expungement Program, and JRF’s broader reform work.
Annual Dining for Dignity
The evening that started it all. Our inaugural fundraising dinner brought together our earliest supporters — the donors, advocates, and friends who made the Criminal Defense Clinic possible just five weeks after it was finalized. A remarkable night of generosity that launched our annual tradition.
Letter Writing for the Incarcerated
An afternoon spent writing letters to those incarcerated over the holidays — often the most forgotten people at the most family-centered time of year. Volunteers, supporters, and friends of JRF gather to remind folks inside that someone is thinking of them.
“Your letter is a beacon of hope this holiday season.”
CD Clinic Student Cohort
Our Spring 2026 cohort of student attorneys at the Texas A&M School of Law JRF Criminal Defense Clinic — the next generation of defense lawyers gaining real-world courtroom experience while representing indigent clients in Tarrant County at no cost.
Criminal Defense Clinic Launch
The moment our partnership with Texas A&M School of Law became real — inaugurating the Criminal Defense Clinic and naming our JRF Practitioner-in-Residence. The first cohort of 3L students stepped into court representing indigent defendants in Tarrant County at no cost.
