What is North Texas Giving Day?
This year, on Thursday, September 19, the Justice Reform Foundation is participating in Communities Foundation of Texas’ 16th Annual North Texas Giving Day, an online giving extravaganza for the whole region.
This fall, our organization launched our Criminal Defense Clinic in Partnership with Texas A&M University School of Law, in which we will be providing effective assistance of council to the largest county in the country without a public defender’s office – Tarrant County. This is no easy feat, with our goal being to provide as many people who cannot afford council a fair defense, and North Texas Giving Day helps us amplify our message. With North Texas Giving Day, we’re able to reach more people, engage their passion for our mission, and make an even greater impact.
How Can You Support Us?
By either donating anytime from September 1st – September 19th, or by becoming a Match Donor!
Our Goal is to reach $25,000!
What is a Match Donor?
Matching funds are a great way to inspire people to give and to help us reach our goal. By matching gifts, you demonstrate your commitment to our cause! Also, matching funds will encourage donors to rise to the challenge. Matching funds works by your commitment to match any donations we are able to raise for North Texas Giving Day – you can match 100%, or a smaller percentage, and you can also put a cap on the amount you would like to Match. Matching is important as it incentives others to donate so that we can meet our match goal and our overall goal!
How do I become a regular donor?
Every little bit counts, and each donation helps us get closer and hopefully meet our match goals! For example, a Match Donor may match us only if we reach a $5k from individual donations. Once we hit that threshold from individual donors, the donation total doubles as our Match Donor then donates 5k!
